Several questions and vague responses later it was apparent this was a waste of time and little more than construction workers' pub talk. Even Anderson seemed surprised. I started to walk away, disgusted by the poor con job. “We can lay one on Graham for you,” he said, trying to keep the conversation going. I said no thanks. “Or your wife,” he said as I opened my truck door. I stepped into my truck and followed Anderson's car out of the yard, where we went in opposite directions. Two or three weeks later I encountered Anderson in front of the Caron Post Office.
Pat Hammond, Sandra's brother, had seen me driving on Saskatchewan Street near my home in Moose Jaw sometime after 5:30. Both swore affidavits.
