Bei allen Korrekturen werden logische Erwägungen eine viel geringere Rolle spielen als anschauliche Vergegenwärtigungen, die immer die Voraussetzung jeder logischen Formulierung sind, wenn diese nicht leer sein und in der Luft schweben soll. Die abgeleiteten Gestalten, welche sich an das jeweilig substantielle Zentrum anschließen, entfalten sich nun in vier Prozessen, die zu charakterisieren sind: I. Das Zentrum ist echt, es gibt eine Reihe unechter Gestalten. 2. Das Zentrum ist konkret, Einheit von Inhalt und Form, ist lebendig.
Das ist näher auszuführen. Das seelische Geschehen in seiner Totalität heißt der Erlebnisstrom, Erlebniswirklichkeit, unmittelbares Leben, ursprüngliche Erfahrung usw. Er umfaßt das Ganze des seelischen Geschehens in seiner bloßen Erscheinung, er ist das Unbestimmteste, von dem sprechend man noch nichts weiß als Allgemeinheiten. Diese unmittelbare Erlebniswirklichkeit ist an sich das Konkreteste, wenn auch der Hinweis auf sie mit dieser Benennung das Leerste und Abstrakteste ist. Ihr ist alles immanent.
Dann erst entsteht auch der Gegensatz von "gebunden" und "frei", "heteronom" und "autonom", "autoritativ" und "individuell", weil nun erst beide Möglichkeiten offen stehen. Nun entsteht z. B. jener Typus der Verzweiflung, der Halt in einer übernommenen Gebundenheit sucht, oder des Gedankenlosen, der ostentativ aus bloßer Vitalkraft lebt. Retrospektiv ·wird für alle Zeiten menschlicher Kultur eine Weltanschauungspsychologie möglich sein, aber vor allem ergiebig werden die sogenannten Aufklärungszeiten sein, die Zeiten neuer Individualisierung.
